  • Develop and maintain Jupyter-based EO workflows and end-to-end use cases using Python and relevant libraries and tools.
  • Evaluate EO datasets, data formats, and processing operations, and assess data-access APIs in terms of usability and performance.
  • Contribute to the Destination Earth Data Lake Data Portfolio and associated metadata and catalogue solutions.
  • Translate user needs into clear, traceable requirements and support requirements review, refinement, and handover to implementation teams.
  • Perform independent verification and validation of service increments using realistic usage scenarios, including functional and performance testing.

  • Practical expertise in Earth Observation (EO) data processing, leveraging tools such as Spark, Jupyter Notebooks, and Python.
  • Scientific EO background with programming skills to design, define, and implement usage scenarios combining Digital Twin models and EO datasets.
  • Experience with at least two of these key EO tools:
    • Data access: Data Lake HDA, EODAG, WEkEO, EUMETSAT Data Store, CREODIAS., pyStac, eodag, REST…APIs (Postman)
    • Processing: xarray, Dask, GDA, PyTroll/SatPy, ESA SNAP, rasterio, QGIS
